The curator of the exhibition selected three of my works ---- Dynamic Angles, Screw Totem and Insight Out ---- for inclusion in Expo 2013. I was the recipient of RHCAN’s People’s Choice award, for Screw Totem, generating considerable interest and attention becoming a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. |
RHCAN received the Art in Public Places 2013 County Executive’s Arts Award, citing the quality of the artwork and community involvement as key elements of the Sculpture Expo’s success. See News Article |
Red Hook Expo 2014 included my two new works: Macroscope and Eccentrics. Eccentrics is composed of two sets of semicircular arcs arranged around a vertical axis. The largest are reverse connected, in the form of an "S". The remaining arcs, equally apportioned between the top and bottom, are free to rotate around the central axis. Infinitely adjustable, this work is uniquely dynamic and interactive. Macroscope consists of a steel drum, that is smooth on the inside, with radiating diagonals surrounding the outside. The inner surface frames views while the outside diagonals provide visual thrust enhancing the perspective effect. |
